The Permanent Tourist

We might be a city of the dead
Or cave men
Instead of simple town folk.
We have nothing to show
That cannot be seen better somewhere else,
Yet for this woman the wonder does not cease.
      F.R. Scott, Tourist Time

I'm excited to share with you all that I will be leaving the capital for the
East Coast! I'll be heading back to the city to pack and get everything
together and then the bf and I are eastbound. As I've mentioned before, I've
been coming here for quite some time now, and I've always loved it. I'm
absolutely delighted to be trading the city's busy, noisy streets for a more
laid-back lifestyle. Bring on the hikes!

I've never really been one for prints but sometimes I find my obsession with
solids can be a tad boring. This one seemed so fun and happy though, so it
was instantaneous desire. It was longer than I liked so again, snip snip and sew
on. Lately I've been addicted to matching my nail polish to my outfits, and
it's nice to pull colours from the print. It's starting to feel like a part-time job
painting my nails every day to go with the clothes, but then again, I'm on vacay right?

On Cloud Nine

Yesterday my Mom, brother and I made way our way on over to Margaree Harbour. Margaree
Harbour is where my Nanny's family is from; I've been going since I was a wee lil' gal. To get
there we had to drive along the Cabot Trail, the scenery is breathtakingly impressive!

With all this time vacationing I've been able to match my nail polish perfectly
to my outfits (maybe too matchy-matchy?). My orange accent nails go with the
orange polka dots on my dress! This dress originally fell below my knees, and
that length I find can tend to overwhelm my petite frame. So I did a little snip snip,
actually too much snip snip and now the hemline is too short! Now this dress shall
be reserved for beach days... I've totally been the lazy vacationer lately, just reading,
basking in the sun, and eating my Mom's cooking- something I've immensely missed!
If only time could just stop. Right now. Well, I just need Kobe and then it's ideal!

Pleased as Punch

Oh how I love this boardwalk! I used to spend many days here when I
was a teen. Louisbourg is a pretty small town; with a population of a
thousand people sometimes it can be a quiet place. So instead of
spending our time at the movies or at the mall, we would take pleasure
in the natural wonders offered by Mama N. Waves are so calming
and I love the shimmering effect of the sun's rays on
the water, it looks like a million little diamonds are dancing!

Trainspotting

Yesterday my brother and I made our way on over to the old train station of
Louisbourg. It hasn't been in use in quite some time; it's sole purpose now is a
museum. There are so many picturesque places here in Louisbourg, it's great for pictures!

You'll find I'm definitely rocking some sea-side themes lately.  Blues, reds, whites, stripes, and anything nautical and aquatic. Location sure does have an affect on the characteristics of your personal style! And I'm absolutely mad for the accent nail, if it hasn't been completely apparent by now haha. I find it so fun, not too sure as to why, but I do!
